Dr. Burroughs's research program and teaching interests focus on the preparation and professional development of secondary mathematics teachers. Her primary research interests include making connections between the mathematics pre-service teachers study as undergraduates and the mathematics they will teach to school students and developing courses appropriate for pre-service mathematics teacher preparation programs. She has published in Problems, Resources, and Issues in Mathematics Undergraduate Studies (PRIMUS), the Mathematics Teacher, and Journal of Fluid Mechanics.
