Davis

Professor Davis' research is in the area of applied and computational mathematics with a particular interest in Sensitivity Analysis. The main focus of her current research is the construction and implementation of Continuous Sensitivity Equation Methods which are applied to elliptic partial differential equations. She is the Principal Investigator of an AFOSR grant to use techniques of sensitivity analysis for the optimal design of sensors and actuators for flight control of micro air vehicles. She is a coauthor on a SIAM Frontiers publication entitled Design Sensitivity Analysis: Computational Issues of Sensitivity Equation Methods. She received her degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Summer 1999. Dr. Davis has published several proceedings papers, and an article describing some of her research has appeared in the journal Numerical Functional Analysis and Optimization. For a more detailed description of her professional activities, visit the Professional Info section of her Personal Home Page.
