Big Gun

Professor Burke's research area is the appropriate utilization of technology in the mathematics classroom. He has published in The Mathematics Teacher and the Journal of Computers in Mathematics and Science Teaching. He was co-director of the NSF-funded Systemic Initiative for Montana Mathematics and Science
(SIMMS) which produced the SIMMS-IM curriculum. He was the issue editor of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics 2000 Yearbook Learning Mathematics for a New Century. He is currently the Grade 9-12 Editor for the NCTM Navigations Series. Professor Burke co-directs the Mathematics Education Option of the Department's Masters of Science Degree.
