Shae Thompson

Shae Thompson has been the Math Coordinator/Instructor for the TRIO/Student Support Services (formerly Advance By Choice) since 1999. TRIO currently offers small class lectures for Math 085 Prealgebra and Math 103 Introductory Algebra. Along with these math classes, TRIO students have access to free tutoring, study skills workshops, English courses, and academic advising. TRIO students tend to be highly motivated and committed to learning - qualities that lead to success in math.

TRIO is a federally funded program designed to offer academic support to students. One of the following will qualify students for TRIO sections of Math:

  1. Eligible based on income
  2. Have a documented disability, such as physical or learning
  3. Neither parent (or guardian) obtained a Bachelor's degree before the student's 18th birthday
Interested students should contact the TRIO office in the Strand Union Building, Room 146 or call TRIO at (406) 994-4145. Shae Thompson can be reached at (406) 994-5345 or thompson@math.montana.edu.
