Professor Zhang's interests include scientific computation, numerical analysis, and the mathematical modeling of biofilms. He has published research in several journals including Communications in Computational Phusics, Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, and SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis.
