  1. To produce a perfect finished weight whose mass was exactly 1 kilogram the mass of the crude weight would have to be 1.52981 kilograms. To produce a finished weight whose mass was within the permissible range the mass of the crude weight would have to be between 1.52785 kilograms and 1.53177 kilograms.

    To produce a perfect crude weight and, hence, a perfect finished weight the timer would have to be on for 0.634775 minutes. To produce a crude weight that was close enough to the perfect crude weight to produce a finished weight whose mass was within the permissible range the timer would have to be on for at least 0.633962 minutes and no more than 0.635588 minutes.
