Uploading Data from the TI-92

Data is stored within the TI-92 in the form of lists that can be analyzed on the TI-92 or that can be uploaded to your IBM compatible or Macintosh computer for analysis. The basic procedure for uploading data from the TI-92 to your computer is simple.

• If the TI-Graph Link program is not running on your computer then you may be able to start it with a single click by clicking here. If that doesn't start your TI-Graph Link 92 program then you will need to start it (that is, execute or run it) in the usual way. Make sure that the TI-Graph Link program is your active program.

• The TI-Graph Link cable should be connected to your computer. Connect the other end to the linking port at the bottom of your calculator.

• Now turn your calculator on and choose RECEIVE from the LINK menu on your computer screen. You should see a window something like the window shown below.

  

  The left side of this window allows you to choose where you want the data uploaded TO on your computer. The middle allows you to choose whichg data you want to upload from the TI-92. The figure above shows the list l1 selected from the TI-92 to be uploaded to the folder named upload on the computer. You will need to choose the appropriate file for uploading and place for it to be uploaded to. Click the Add button in the middle of the window to select each item to be uploaded. Then click the <-- RECEIVE button to carry out the uploading. After the data has been uploaded click the Close button.

• After you have uploaded the data, open the new file on your computer by selecting OPEN from the FILE menu of your TI-Graph LINK92 program. The data should appear in a window. You can copy the data from this window and then paste it into your CAS window or any other window in the usual way.
