TI-92 -- Area, Torque, and Volume in R3

You may want to look at the following help modules as you work thorugh this module.

You can use your TI-92 to make the kinds of algebraic computations involved in some of the proofs in this module. For example, here is a proof of

||a ^ b||^2 = ||a||^2 ||b||^2 - (a1 b1 + a2 b2 + a3 b3)^2

Note we use a and b to denote the two vectors instead of x and y because the varuables y1, y2, and y3 are used by the TI-92. The first screen computes the left hand side of the equation that we are trying to verify.

The next screen computes the right hand side of this equation and then verifies the equation by computing the difference between the left hand side and the right hand side.
