   Your final course percentage P will be based off four common hour exams and a section grade determined 
   by your instructor:

   The section grade S is determined by your section instructor and will be based off a combination of quizzes 
    and/or homework assignments. Your instructor will communicate their policies for this. 

   Your final course percentage P is then determined by:             

                  P  = (M1+M2+M3+F+HW+S) / 5        

   None of the exam, homework or section grades may be "dropped". 
   The course percentage will be converted to a letter grade using the following scale:

Academic Misconduct

   Cheating is a very serious matter. See the University Academic Misconduct code
   Punishment for such violations will be swift and harsh.
   You may not use notes, cell phones or any other electronic device while taking an exam.

   Your instructor will let you know what their office hours are for extra help.
   The Math Learning Center (MLC - Wil 1-112) also provides free tutoring during the week.

WeBWork

Is an online homework system managed by the Mathematical Association of America. Your username is your netID username and the initial password is your GID number (with the dash).  WeBWork assignments  will be periodically added to the site. The assignments are automatically graded and collectively account for 10% of your overall grade. Two important links:

Exam Policies
  • Exam content/summary will be announced in class and posted below.
  • Common hour exams are closed book, no notes and no electronic devices.
  • The final exam is comprehensive but will have limited scope. The precise contents will be listed later in the semester.
  • Policies regarding quizzes and/or homework forming your section grade will be communicated to you by your instructor.
  • Class attendance on common exam days is not required.

Polynomials
