The meeting was called to order by President, Rick Rossi.

Election for the Chapter Officers was held. The results were, by unanimous vote:

President:	Jon Graham, University of Montana, Missoula
Vice-President:	Jim Robison-Cox, Montana State University, Bozeman
Secretary/Treasurer:	Carol Bittinger, Montana State University, Bozeman

Carol Bittinger read the minutes and gave the treasurer's report. The balance as of October 26, 1996 was $1520.53.

John Borkowski, the Chapter Representative gave his report. ASA gave up on the Video Game. They are now working on statistical screen savers. John also talked about a 3 hr. short course on logistic regression. The Council Chapter has a distinguished member award - the award being a plaque. The annual statistics competition was given to students of statisticians. There are currently 18,500 members who have paid dues. Suggestions have been made for free memberships for new members. AP classes in statistics begin this year.
