The meeting was called to order by President Suzan Gazioglu. She thanked Chip Todd for making the room reservation and coordination of the catering. She thanked Mark Greenwood for the chapter program and contacting the speakers.

  1. REPORTS

    1. The minutes from the 2005 Business Meeting were approved.

    2. Sherry Heis presented the Treasurer's Report. The balance continues to decline each year.

      Income
      Montana Chapter Membership Dues: $149.00
      Expenses
      Catering for 2005 chapter meeting: $-206.50
      ASA Membership - Treasurer: -45.00
      Subtotal: -251.50
      Ending Balance (September 19, 2006) $634.46

    3. Jarrett Barber has moved and resigned as Chapter Representative. Mark Greenwood attended the Chapter Representative meetings at JSM and presented this Chapter Representative report.

      • Overhaul of online chapter reporting system.

      • Money is available in Strategic Initiative Plan- high approval rate (about 50%).
      • ASA Executive Director Search.
      • Chapter Service Award winners.
      • JSM short courses (continuing education)
      • International Science & Engineering Fair
        1. Stats prize
        2. Local science fairs
      • K-12 outreach encouraged
        1. Career day seed money, up to $500
        2. Panel discussions

    1. Suzan Gazioglu received two $10 coupons that can be used toward any ASA product or service.

  4. ELECTIONS

    1. The current President, Suzan Gazioglu, becomes Past President.

    2. The current Vice President, Mark Greenwood, becomes President.

    3. Sherry Heis will continue to serve as Secretary/Treasurer.

    4. Steve Cherry will continue to serve as Ombudsman.

    5. Mark Greenwood was unanimously elected to serve as Chapter Representative.

    6. Solomon Harrar was unanimously elected to serve as Vice President.
