o Maxima is similar to Maple (which is not free). It graphs
functions in 2D and 3D, as well as solves equations, derivatives, and
integrals. It comes in Windows and Linux flavors. Download Maxima here

o As mentioned in the syllabus, calculators are not allowed on test or quizzes. Nevertheless, they can be quite helpful and I encourage their use on homework.
