Structure and dynamics on large-scale networks
My research focuses on the dynamics and structure of large-scale
networks. These types of networks show up in many real-world contexts
and lead to numerous applied and theoretical questions. Some of the
aspects that I investigated recently:
- Using the diffusion metric to gain an accurate picture of distance
in a network.
- The same metric provides a robust tool for clustering of nodes in
a network
- In looking at the spectrum of a graph/network, the eigenvalues
allow a reduction of dimension. What is the shape of the manifold(s) that
the graph is projected onto?
