SAS setup

In the math sciences department, you can run SAS on our hilbert machine (more on this below). To view SAS documentation (from anywhere), go to SAS 9.2 documentation at SAS dot com. For a quicker link to a list of stat procs, click here. You can access hilbert and run SAS remotely from your own Windows PC if you install:

• Putty
• WinSCP to transfer files between Gauss and your PC
• Xming X windows system for Windows
  You have to login in to gauss.math.montana.edu, type

  env  | grep DISPLAY
  ssh hilbert
  

  (login in again) then just type sas (lower case) return.
