The purpose of this project is to monitor and interpret a variety of oceanographic data to predict the best route to help Dr. Lou win a sail boat race from Pensacola, Florida to the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. Students will be using the WWW to access information for the currents, wind speed and direction, and wave heights for maximizing speed sailing south across the Gulf Stream from Florida to Mexico.
