the Institute of New Technologies in Moscow
These online weather activities
were created by the
New Technologies in Moscow in cooperation with Network Montana staff
as a part of an international project in science education. They incorporate
original ideas and unique experience of Russian school teachers, as well
as traditional Russian folklore, and make them available to high-school
students in the United States.
The following activities are intended
for novice to intermediate level students.
Weather - Learners explore basic weather concepts and Internet
weather sites, build devices for measuring humidity and wind speed, and
conduct observations using these devices.
Weather Proverbs - Learners discover and analyze Russian weather
proverbs, create their own weather proverbs and analyze them.
