MATH 182 General Information - Fall 2008



  CALCULATORS:    Calculators are not required for this course.
        However, students are encouraged to use technology as an aid to understanding the subject.
        Calculators or any other portable electronic device (including laptops, palm pilots and cell phones)
             CANNOT be used during examinations.



  CLASSROOM DECORUM:   Common courtesy is the general rule!
        Turn OFF your cell phone while in the classroom.
        Unless pre-approved by the instructor, arrive at class on time and stay for the entire class period.
        Restrict conversations with fellow students to before or after class.
        If you find that you are distracted during classroom presentations by disruptive behavior of any sort,
             please talk with your instructor or the course supervisor.


  UNIVERSITY POLICY:   Refer to the 2008-2010 University Bulletin.
        Read Absence from Classes , Examinations and Minimum Competency Requirements .
        Work missed due to an unexcused absence cannot be made up.
        Make sure you know when all MATH 182 exams are scheduled, and arrange now to be there.
        The prerequisite for MATH 182 is completion of MATH 181 with a grade of C- or better.
