MATH 274 General Information - Spring 2013



  PREREQUISITE:   
        The prerequisite for M 274 is a passing grade (C- or better) in M 172 (or M 182).
        This is the minimum competency requirement set by the Board of Regents (see the link below).
        The prerequisite is enforced.


  CALCULATORS:   
        Calculators will be helpful on homework as a number crunching tool.
        However, unless specifically told otherwise, calculators or any other portable electronic device
             (including laptop, BlackBerry and cell phone) CANNOT be used during quizzes or exams.


  CLASSROOM DECORUM:   Common courtesy is the general rule!
        Turn OFF your cell phone while in the classroom.
        Arrive at class on time and stay for the entire class period.
        Restrict conversations with fellow students to before or after class.
        If you find that you are distracted during classroom presentations by disruptive behavior
             of any sort, please bring the situation to my attention.

        Read Absence from Classes , Academic Misconduct , Examinations and Minimum Competency Requirements .
        Work missed due to an unexcused absence cannot be made up.
